Have faith in your work that you have done so far. Coach Gowan is an amazing leader, and if you have put in the time, you will soon reap the rewards. These next few days are crucial to your performance at state! Eat right, and get plenty of sleep, but most of all don't stress about it. Enjoy these memories because it only happens once.

To the girls team: I have waited a long time to see the chiles girls capture that state title. Be proud of the colors you are wearing, and remember you are not just representing yourself and the school, but the many girls who were apart of the program before you. I will be thinking of you race day, and I hope for you the best of luck and swift legs!

GO T-WOLVES!

Best of luck to the boys and girls teams at the State meet. You have had a fantastic year and have been a joy to watch. Kick ass on Saturday and have fun!

This is what it's all comedown to. You girls have trained long and hard for this. The years of having to sit on the side while the boys get the spotlight are over. It's your time to shine. Yeah, all the other teams are watching you'll. They're figuring out which one of you the need to beat because you'll are on top right now. But this isn't you alls race to lose, It yours to WIN! Standings and rankings don't mean a thing now. You got to run like it all depends on you. Like those meets where you were chasing that girl who you needed to beat, you HAD to beat. Run with that passion. Bring home it home

ps. Good luck Kendall, your awesome!

It hasn’t even been a year since I was wearing a Chiles uniform, but so much has happened since then. So many miles, so many workouts, so many Publix sub rings, so many pep talks, SO much drama, so much pain…All of that would mean nothing if there wasn’t something you were fighting for, and this is it. State is where all of that becomes worthwhile. So just go for it. Make the runners that came before you proud of the program they were once a part of. Most importantly, do this for each other, because where’s the fun in standing up on that podium without someone to put your arm around?

You girls are amazing, but remember that the title isn’t yours just yet. Think positive, race smart, and support each other. I can’t wait to cheer you on!

Kendall, It has been a lot of hard work and this is where it pays off. We're proud of you and what you and the team have accomplished. We will be there to watch you and the team win the BIG ONE!!!!! There is a quote I heard long ago which meant a lot to me" which I think is appropriate. "There is a golden thread which runs through the life of any individual of unusual accomplishment and that thread is persistance, the doggded day by day persisting towards a goal. That which you persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the task becomes easier but, through doing your POWER TO DO increases. Good luck to you and we'll be there yelling for you

In other words: "Remember this day men... For it will be yours for all time." - King Leonidas

The day you have all been waiting for is finally coming. Months of training will be tested in one race. You guys have done the work that is necessary to succeed. Ya'll have done an incredible job to make it to this point and I am proud to see your progress, it has been a great season. But remember, the Good Lord put eyes in the front of your head rather than in the back, so you can see where you're going rather than where you've been.
Make sure you have fun and enjoy this experience. I know I would love to go back and do it again if I could. Don't let the crazy atmosphere distract you from what you came to do. There'll be tons fans around the course, but remember this: they're unarmed. And they're going to remain outside the course, they'll have absolutely no impact on this race whatsoever. Stay within your abilities early but make sure you leave everything out there in the last mile. Pain is temporary and victory is forever.

Continue the tradition of excellence Chiles, it is your turn to write the story.

I challenge you all with a quote from Forrest Gump.
He said, "If you don't know where you are goin', you will probably not wind up there."

KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE PRIZE!!

In the Bible, (Psalm 18:36 & 37)David wrote words of praise to the Lord that should inspire you, as runners, to "DIG DEEP". He said,

"Thou dost enlarge my steps under me,
And my feet have not slipped.
I pursued my enemies and overtook them,
And I did not turn back until they were consumed."

DO WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!

KENDALL: You are SUPA-FLY!!
