This is a sequence of photos from the start that I thought was interesting. Now back in the days when I ran, we didn’t have digital watches. (No we didn’t only have sundials.) But because it wasn’t practical to carry a stopwatch you just ran without watches and listened for the guy to call out your mile splits, or just didn’t get them. And you also had to listen at the finish to hear your time because they didn’t have a computer program listing everyone’s times. In fact the only thing they cared about back then was the place you finished in. I just bring this up, because if you look at the photos, the guy standing next to Brandon and D. Ross is Connor Revard and he finished second in the race. You will notice that he doesn’t have a watch on and he also doesn’t seem to be worried about making sure it gets started. Hmmmm?
(Remember do not listen to any advice without consulting your own coach to see whether it applies to you. )
